‘Collecting Stories’- Aboriginal Experiences of the Primary Health Care System in Northern Melbourne

This film enabled participants from the Aboriginal community to tell their stories, in their own words, about their experiences of primary health care services and provide insights to primary health care agencies, on how they can respond or better meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are accessing these services.

These stories were collected on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.

The North East and Hume Whittlesea Primary Care Partnerships, in collaboration with Banyule Community Health launched the ‘Collecting Stories’ DVD at the Aborigines Advancement League in Thornbury on 6th September 2012.
